Dear Lord, am I ever late this month. Please accept my most profuse apologies, all. I know you're all probably tired of hearing my "But I'm sooooo busy!" excuses, but I really, really am. Probably needless to say, there will not be a prompt for the month of March, but I have come to announce the PF for January, so everyone can get soup'd for that!
My Personal Favorite for the month of February (Write a Love Letter to Yourself) comes from

Name PoemOne of the most common names I’ve ever heard
is my own, a kind
that neither trips up the instructor during roll call
nor sparks much interest at a dining hall.
A name like “Andrew” is clear,
transparent, and plastic.
The kind of name that lets me sift
like a memory into the background.
I have used it all my life,
like a kind of cardboard box
lifting myself out of it
and watching the packing peanuts drift
and settle around my limbs
like newborn snow,
candy floss,
and the long plastic straw
that curled around itself
like time
or Eliot’s yellow fog.
And there was a kind of distance between
“Andrew” and &l
I enjoy this particular poem because it is unique and thought-provoking; it takes the prompt in a direction that I had not initially considered. I am always impressed by this deviant's work, and this submission is no exception. This piece will be moved to the Featured folder shortly.
Thank you to all who participated in the February prompt! Look forward to more prompts beginning next month!
Have a wonderful evening, all!
Regards,
